Join us as we welcome Chef Christi of Soul Burger to Fezziwig's Marketplace. Known for her delicious soul food and burgers in her award-winning food truck, Chef Christi brings a passion for food, flavor, and fun. Recently winning second place in the Belleville Chili Cook-Off, Chef Christi knows comfort food. In her very first class at Fezziwig's, she is bringing the heat with Chinese-inspired comfort food.
Classic Egg drop soup, a classic Chinese comfort food with silky, ribbon-like strands of beaten eggs suspended in a savory, seasoned chicken broth, is first up on our menu.
You'll get hands-on as we make Crab Rangoon, a savory/sweet popular American-Chinese appetizer consisting of a creamy crab and cream cheese filling wrapped in a wonton wrapper.
Finishing with the popular Bourbon chicken, a sweet, sticky comfort food dish made of small chicken pieces—often thighs—seared and coated in a rich glaze. It features soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, apple juice or cider, and a splash of bourbon whiskey. Served with fried rice.
