Cinnamon and gingerbread come first, with pumpkin spice underneath and organic black tea holding it all up. The brewed cup is deep amber and smells like a kitchen in October.

Kiku means chrysanthemum, and Japan's Kiku Festival celebrates that flower each autumn. Whole chrysanthemum blossoms go into this blend, which is where the festival connection comes from.

Black tea base, so expect caffeine. Full boil, three to four minutes; a longer steep buries the spice under the leaf. Good with pie, better with a cold porch.

Ingredients: Organic black tea, chrysanthemums, pumpkin spice, gingerbread and cinnamon.

*Tea is sold in 1-ounce units. A 2-ounce minimum is required for each tea variety.
