Get ready to bring the flavors of the Caribbean to O’Fallon as we continue the Staycation Series: Travel with Chef Ty on a vibrant trip to Jamaica, no passport needed. This hands- on class celebrates bold spices, colorful ingredients, and comforting dishes that capture the warmth and rhythm of island cooking. You will enjoy an interactive afternoon learning about traditional Jamaican flavors while building dishes, tasting new ingredients, and enjoying a relaxed, fun cooking experience.

We’ll begin the afternoon with crispy fried plantain patties served with a creative toppings bar. You will be able to build your own bites using mango salsa, coconut ranch, green onions, and a sweet-spicy habanero jam sauce.

The star of the meal is Jamaican jerk chicken, marinated with bold spices and grilled to smoky perfection. It will be served alongside traditional rice and peas and flavorful stewed cabbage for a classic Caribbean plate.

We’ll finish the class with a warm slice of Jamaican spice cake layered with aromatic spices and topped with light vanilla bean whipped frosting.

Wines by the glass will be available to purchase. Additionally, guests will enjoy special discounts on a variety of products, including olive oils, balsamic vinegars, spices, chocolates, teas, and more.
