Celebrate Valentine’s season at Fezziwig’s with a sweet and creative French macaron workshop led by local baker Rachel of Rachel’s Market Macarons. This class is designed to introduce participants to the art and science behind these elegant treats, all with a Valentine-inspired twist.
During the workshop, guests will learn foundational techniques, helpful tips, and common troubleshooting strategies for making French macarons at home. Rachel will demonstrate and guide participants through the Italian meringue method, a professional technique known for creating smooth, stable, bakery-style macarons. Participants will have hands-on opportunities to work with macaron components, practice piping, and explore what makes a successful macaron.
The class will feature Valentine-themed macarons inspired by flavors such as raspberry silk, rich chocolate ganache, and classic vanilla bean, along with guidance on fillings, flavor pairings, and finishing touches that bring everything together beautifully. Guests will leave with new skills, inspiration, and a sweet Valentine’s treat to enjoy or share.
